What's a girl to do?

Christie: Well, this was *not* my expected blog post for the day.
I had a whole lovely little "spring" thing planned...
and then THIS happened:

What's a girl to do?
Two Acheron at once?
There's a reason the word "Ache" is in his name.
*fans herself*

Let's meet each of them:

Deranged Harry Potter Acheron:

Do you like my nickname for him?
Honestly, at the moment he's incognito...
I have no idea what the future holds for this boy
beyond a haircut.

Serious Business Acheron:

This boy popped out of his box,
demanded a shave and then proceeded to steal
Emmett's shirt and shoes.

So tell me, how do I keep these boys hidden from my sister? :)

Let's talk a little about the doll...

What I like:
1. He's beautiful once you remove his doofy facial hair.
2. His body is pretty awesome, as far as mobility is concerned.
3. His hands easily detach, making dressing him easy. (Christie: AND undressing him!)
4. His shirt, pants and coat are well made... and his pants and coat are just downright awesome.
5. His hands and feet are well sculpted.
6. He fits into Ken shoes

What I don't like:
1. His boots, they're hard plastic and trying to put them on makes me think I'm either going to break his feet, or his feet will pop off and get stuck inside the boot.
2. His facial hair... I mean... look at the closeup of Deranged Harry Potter Acheron... it looks like he's been eating oreos or drawing on his face with Sharpie. What's with those spots??
3. Neck mobility... this is the one place the Ken doll outstrips him. He's got very little range of motion where his neck and head meet.

Conclusion:
He's pretty darn awesome.

I bought him with the intent of putting the Mattel Twilight Emmett's head on his body (because frankly, his promo pics do not appeal to me)... but now I'm not sure I can, LOL.

What he has done, and I curse him for it, is open the floodgate of me checking out FR boy releases.
DAMN YOU, ACHERON, DAMN YOU!!!
Next year I might just have to join the FR club after all ;_;

    1. Yes, I was very shocked by how good looking he is, his promo pics do NOT do him justice! I'm sorry he's not sold where you are!!

  2. I'm amazed by the difference between the two. With a shave and a haircut, he is gorgeous! (I think I now need one so I can put him on a shelf and stare at him all day. I say this about all "pretty" boys, but in his case it's actually possible!)

    1. Shocking, isn't it? Although the shaved one does not have a haircut, I just cheated and put his hair in a ponytail, hehe!
I'm going to need to think up some names for these guys -_-

  3. Integrity dolls aren't sold also in my Country, but I buy them from Ebay, DollPage, by private sellers, thanks to Liz and Tabitha and thanks to my wonderful friend who buy them for me (he's in the FR club). There is a solution for everything :-)

I have the whole Acheron outfit, I wanted it for the Color Infusion Subject N but I can't buy him, he's too pricey!!! People are crazy!!!

Since I've planned to buy Dr. Cullen and Emmett, I will need Acheron bodies. He doesn't impress me too much, so won't be a problem behead him!!!

    1. Hahaha, evil! How do you behead a FR boy? Just like Barbies? Or do you heat them first?

Yeah, I've seen the prices shoot up pretty fast on FR dolls, so that's understandable.

I thought this guy didn't appeal to me, but the more he sits around the more he's growing on me... and once I took the beard off one of them, I really liked him. I think I wouldn't mind the other one having stubble and long hair, but I'll still remove it and repaint it.

  4. yeah I have this boy for Osirus but i think hes going to need longer hair. Im not sure i know we removed the red highlights, and he needs repainting because hes suppose to look dead XD

Play with them alot cause it loosens them up. Like i let Ivy have fun with them for the boys. She always seem to know what shes doing :3

    1. Ooooh, yeah, I totally see him as Osirus!!!

Ok, I started wobbling their heads around with more force, and you're right, they're just really stuck, you have to work em looser. Weird XD

    1. Agreed, Fashion Royalty dolls definitely have a unique look.

  6. What a difference a shave makes! He looks so much better clean shaven.

    1. I agree, Cat Hammond showed me hers without the beard... and I knew I was doomed to keep at least one of these guys. LOL.

  7. What a pair!!! Definitely without face hair looks much better, and I prefer the second look rather than the Harry Potter one, even when I'm a great fan of HP myself!

    1. Oh, haha, he won't be keeping the "Harry Potter" look, LOL, I just stuck those silly glasses on him since he had the silly beard. XD He'll be getting a makeover :)

  8. I'm not familiar with the character, but what cool looking dolls! I love the trenchcoat on the one!

    1. Honestly, I'm not familiar with the character either. My initial opinion?
What kind of adult man wears a doofy demon shirt and carries a backpack with an anarchy symbol on it? To me, that screams high school boy attire, LOL.

  9. He is pretty cute. I was thinking the 'beard' was ok, when I saw it at a distance, but closeup - not so great. I'm not sure about giving him a haircut though (I do like my guys with long hair).
And I love that coat :)

    1. I know! From a distance, the beard isn't bad at all, but once you get up close, bleh.

I was actually thinking of rerooting one of them all together, I'd just give this hair a cut as practice XD One of them will absolutely remain long haired XD
      And... the coat... is awesome.

  10. Don't tell me, another set of twins for the traveling twig - who will also be very demanding. But they do look good. (Oh yes, there goes your bank balance.)

    1. Hahaha, no, these two will not be twins. Brothers maybe... although I'm hoping to make them look as different as possible. XD

  11. Omgoodness so jealous. I have an Acheron and he's my favorite boy doll right now. My only gripe with the Homme dolls is they are 6'6" in 1/6 scale and tower over everyone else!

    1. Hahaha, yes, he is quite tall XD
Yeah, I didn't expect to like him as much as I do -_-

      :)

  12. Oh I'm so jealous--FR and the like are WAY outside of my budget. I'm reduced to collecting in my imagination by stalking FR retailers online. :) But you're not joking about that facial hair; it wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't decided to layer on giant stubble dots. I mean they're not even to scale!

    1. A friend of mine is an avid collector of FR girls and boys, so I understand your pain... I just go over to her house and kind of drool, LOL... the only reason I have these two guys at once is because you can get them from Ashton-Drake on layaway :)

I totally agree with you too... the shading alone would have been fine... but that huge stubble? No man has stubble like that, LOL!!!
