What I Wore: Cherry In Love

Christie: Hi everyone!
Today's outfit is Summer inspired,
I'm ready for the Grand Traverse Cherry Festival!!
(unfortunately, I still have a while to wait)
The Cherry Skirt was made by Heather,
sometimes she makes some really cute stuff!

The shirt actually comes from that beautiful, talented jerk, er, lovely girl...
Gabriella from High School Musical.
It's not fair, she gets the hot guys and the good clothes. :(
(Thank you, Kelly J., for helping me identify this one!)

Then there are the shoes, which came in a Fashion Fever pack with a red dress:

The necklace I stole from a Fashionista!

Here are the links for anyone who is interested in putting together an outfit like this on their own!

Skirt: Made by Heather

D'oh! I almost forgot to mention!
Do you like my new hairstyle?
It's just my pigtails pulled up into a ponytail!
I got the nifty rubber band (it comes in a pack with many sizes and colors)
from Target!

I couldn't find the color pack I bought online,
but I did find the pastel version!
The largest size is a bit large, but the medium and smaller size are just perfect!!

  1. Your outfit is very cute and summery Christie. Heather made a lovely skirt. When and what is the Grand Tranverse Cherry Festival?

    1. Actually, I think it's officially called the National Cherry Festival...

It's a huge festival up in Traverse City, Michigan that contains all things Cherry (we grow a lot of cherries around here) with music and a carnival and quite a lot of other activities. I've been going ever since I can remember!

The festival is always over the 4th of July weekend... so there is a huge fireworks display as well. :)

  2. You're absolutely fab dear! You're new hairdo is classy and chic.
We have the same shirt here and Gabriella too!
The Messy Man found Troy for her, but they arguing every day!!
    Oh My!!
I think she won't stay here for long.
There is also Sharpay, she's funny, the boys here think she deserves a new body.

    1. Oh, that's too bad that they fight all the time... but then, they're only teenagers after all.

I agree with the boys, get Sharpay a new body! Her attitude demands it!

And I'm so glad you like my hair! Thank you!

  3. That skirt is so adorable. I like the ribbon accent and it goes great with the top.

    1. Thank you! Yes, every once in a while a decent piece of clothing gets made around here.

  4. I love your fashion posts. All your girls always look quite fashionable.

  5. Her now hairdo is lovely, and her new skirt is so cute! I do love it, and I think Christie looks great in black and red!
