New Year Resolutions

Hello, my name is Mona.

The ice storm raged on here throughout the week...

it was cold, and terrible, and dangerous...

and beautiful,

but much to Christie's chagrin,
it messed up her blogging plans.

The poor girl had Holiday wishes for you all,
but we were too busy trying to keep our buns warm...

So, barring any further Icepocalypse,
this Friday the Friday Favorites will resume,
but this week we're going to have a list of New Year Resolutions instead.
Here are Christie's New Year Resolutions for 2014.

Resolutions:

1. Make sure that all posts are planned out and pre-posted weeks in advance... that way if there are future Icepocalypse events, we're prepared!

2. Respond to emails faster!

3. Complete at least one craft project a month that is 1/6 scale.

4. Have at least one giveaway every quarter (Every 3 months)
5. Start a notebook of "ideas" so I don't lose track of things I think of randomly.

What are your New Year Resolutions?

  1. Hi Christie, first of all Mona is really beautiful, what a terrible Iceapocalypse!!!! The pictures looks are amazing but it must have been awful! It is a nice New Year List, I seldom do this kind of lists, but sure I'm making some planning for my sewing and the blog in order to be able to post at least once a week. But the most important resolution shall be to finish each project when I start one and not to get involved into too many project at a time. I already keep a sort of notebook for ideas, and have some "disaster recovery" posts to use if I'm too busy with family or work. They come in very handy....
Last but not least: may your new year be radiant and filled with happyness!!!

    1. Oooh, yes, I make these lists and then often fail them, so I understand why you would skip the list making... but... I just can't seem to help myself! Every year I say, "No more lists" and every year... I make another one, LOL!

    1. Oooh, why the switch from Blogger to Wordpress? I've been thinking of starting a Wordpress blog myself... and have often wondered about the pros and cons.

And noooooooooooo! Say it ain't so! Don't ban randomness! I love your randomness! XD

I need to focus on a permanent cast of characters here too. I've got a lot of girls who really will never be in the stories. Maybe they should move out?

Yup, same here, I MUST plan photostories!

Simple giveaways are good... I've found they work best XD Although I quite enjoyed your last giveaway, it was pretty fun!

    1. I think not having specific resolutions is probably the wise way to go, hehe, I should make a resolution to not make resolutions... DOH!

  6. Oh, my gosh all that ice! I'm so glad I live in Florida. I just could not deal with snow and ice.

    1. This doesn't happen often, thank goodness. Some folks are still without power (and are crashing at our place at the moment)... it's insane.

I have to admit... I'd be afraid of sink holes in Florida XD

  7. Happy New Year Heather! I gave up making resolutions a long time ago. I just can't stick with them! LOL So I plan to continue doing my blog, contributing to doll magazines and keep looking for a paying job. :-)

  8. Those are very beautiful photos but the storm must have been quite frightening at times. Glad you are all safe and well. Poor Christie, but we can still wish her and you happy new year and good luck with your resolutions.

    1. Christie is so disappointed that the storm ruined her plans, it's ok though, she's got another whole year to work with XD It was a bit scary, I must admit... knowing that shards of ice could drop on your head at any time!!

  9. I guess my resolutions are short & simple:
    1. Sell, trade, & donate what I'm not using
    2. Inventory the items I am keeping

Those two things should keep me real busy this year and oh yeah blogging more :O)
