In the Ghost Chair: My Melody Steffie (aka, Christie)

Come sit in the Ghost Chair
Whose flickering existence,
Wound round-about like fog in the sky,
And, much like a whisper,
Aloft on an eddy,
Stood quietly beckoning for you to come try.

Welcome to the Ghost Chair Hour...
in which someone takes a seat
and tells us something about themselves.
First we speak with Christie, a My Melody Steffie.
A question for Christie:
Whats your favourite smell/scent?

Christie: Ooooh, that's tough, so tough... really tough!
*thinks about it*
My favorite smell is the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven.
*nod*
Yup... sooooo tasty!
Er... I hope that's what you meant by the question... ?

What the heck????
Her head is HUGE!
Dreamhouse Midge... why? WHY IS YOUR HEAD SO HUGE????
(their heads are laying side by side, equal distance from the lens)

Dreamhouse Midge: My brain is just THAT much bigger.
Christie: HEY!

Strange Days

Christie: Today I wanted to talk about Takara Jenny outfits!
I got this one as a gift a while back and... uh...
GAH! It's that noise again... WHAT IS THAT?

*Narwhal pops out of nowhere and starts singing*
Narwhal, narwhal, living in the ocean!
Christie: WTF... did... did you see that?

Causing a commotion...
Christie: Sweet mother of... there are two!!

Because they are so Happy!
Christie: Eeep!
*Narwhals disappear as suddenly as they appeared*

Christie: Wow... I... I need more coffee.

Look who just fell from the sky!

Christie: Who's this dapper fellow?

Christie: *whispers* Just between you and me... his head is HUGE 0_0

James: Hello, lovely lady, would you care to join Komiko and I for dinner?
Christie: Oh, is Komiko your doll? *looks at the beautiful doll James was carrying*
James: Er... eh heh heh heh... yeah... nevermind about Komiko.
Christie: Ooookay... uh, I think I'll pass on dinner, you have a lovely doll though.
*Christie hands the doll back and walks away... quickly*

Poor James... already pegged as a nutter, and that's before he told Christie about being a wizard...
or about Komiko, for that matter.

What I Wore: Cherry In Love

Christie: Hi everyone!
Today's outfit is Summer inspired,
I'm ready for the Grand Traverse Cherry Festival!!
(unfortunately, I still have a while to wait)
The Cherry Skirt was made by Heather,
sometimes she makes some really cute stuff!

The shirt actually comes from that beautiful, talented jerk, er, lovely girl...
Gabriella from High School Musical.
It's not fair, she gets the hot guys and the good clothes. :(
(Thank you, Kelly J., for helping me identify this one!)

Then there are the shoes, which came in a Fashion Fever pack with a red dress:

The necklace I stole from a Fashionista!

Here are the links for anyone who is interested in putting together an outfit like this on their own!

Skirt: Made by Heather
Shirt: Go HERE to get your own!

D'oh! I almost forgot to mention!
Do you like my new hairstyle?
It's just my pigtails pulled up into a ponytail!
I got the nifty rubber band (it comes in a pack with many sizes and colors)
from Target!

I couldn't find the color pack I bought online,
but I did find the pastel version!
The largest size is a bit large, but the medium and smaller size are just perfect!!
Go HERE to get your own!

What I Wore Wednesday: Homemade

Christie: Well, I'm not going to lie...
today's outfit was *supposed* to be a homemade dress...
but evidently Heather still has some issues to work out.
Nikki: Yeah, mental issues.
Christie: NO! Jerk-face! Pattern issues, duh!
Nikki: Whatever *wanders off*
Christie: AHEM, so anyhow, today I'm wearing a little shirt she made instead :)

Christie: Have a good Wednesday, everyone!

Pocket Fluff pillows are just perfect!

 Christie: Hello!

Today I have a little product review for you :)

This is a magical little creature called
Pocket Fluff

©Scribble Dolls
Keep a watchful eye on the Scribble Dolls etsy shop to get one of your own :)

You can also go HERE to follow Scribble Dolls' blog,
where you'll get updates on what's to come!

I have been a long time admirer of Scribble Dolls work.
She makes the cutest little plush dolls with painted faces!!

So when she started releasing Pocket Fluffs...
well... I just had to get one,
and when there was a PINK ONE?!
Well, I knew it would be mine :)

My little Pocket Fluff stands about knee height and is able to stand on her own...

She's incredibly squishable and lovable...

and I suppose you could even use her as a chair...

but I much prefer to use her as a pillow :)

Seeing Spots

Christie: Spot the dog, spots on the dress... I'm seeing spots everywhere!
And where did all these dogs come from anyways?

Want my look?
Get the Dress: HERE
Get the Shoes: HERE
Get the Dogs: HERE, HERE & HERE

Mind you, these aren't always the best prices for these items
(I'm surely not paying $80 for a dress! If you stay vigilant though,
it'll pop up for lower prices) ... mostly, this is just to help you know
what the item is called, what set it's from, what era... all that good stuff!

Just in case the auctions are over when you click on the links, here are the names of each item:
Dress: Fashion Fever Teresa-Polka Dot Dress-2004-H0873
Shoes: These shoes are from the Pink Label "Barbie As Elvis" Doll
Dog on left: Barbie Glam 'N Groom Set W/ Lacey Dog Style 'N Groom their matching hair 1999
Other two dogs: 1981 Beauty and Pup (the set actually had 2 pups originally) although you can get 1979 Beauty on her own on ebay fairly cheap :)

Uh oh...

Hey everyone, Heather (the human) here!

Just wanted to share some pics of my first custom reroot
who will be a Christie alter-ego:

Now that Christie knows I can create
custom looks for her...
she's never going to leave me alone...

Christie: That's right, I want more hair and makeup styles!!! Yay!

Going to a Meetup

Christie: Have any of you ever been to a doll meetup?
I never had, but last weekend I got to go to one.

It was mostly for something called "BJDs"
So I got to meet a few new dolls!

These guys were pretty cool customers, but they were nice enough to let me hang out with them.

Next there was this little one... we... uh... didn't really hit it off:

There was also this funky little troll:

I think he liked me!

There was a girl riding an elephant (although when I asked for a ride she said no... so I am just going to focus on the elephant -_- )

And finally, I wasn't able to talk to them, because they were in a glass case,
but there were some old relatives hanging about :)

Christie's Hong Kong Cousin

Christie: Hi everyone! Sorry I've been a little quiet lately!
I've been entertaining a visitor!

Please meet Chanel!
She is a Kurhn Doll!!

Chanel: Hi.
Christie: You have kind of a strange name.
Chanel: It's a Hong Kong thing.
Christie: Oh...
Well, anyways... as you can see, Chanel is a bit shorter than me.

Chanel: What do you mean by that?
Christie: Uh... that... you're shorter... *confused*
Chanel: Are you trying to make a joke?
Christie: No... *more confused*
Chanel: *stares hard at Christie and decides she's telling the truth* Ok.
Christie: T_T

Christie: Oh my, is this a bathing suit? It's pretty skimpy 0_0
Chanel: Eh heh heh, yes, a bathing suit...

~•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••~
Heather: It's me, the human, and I'm going to do a quick
analysis of the doll, a review for anyone considering buying one.

Things I like:
1. She's got a lovely, lanky, elegant body
2. Her skin tone is a really pretty, pale color.
3. Her hair is really soft and luxurious.
4. Her clothes are cute.
5. Overall, she's super cute.
6. While this is not the body with elbow and knee joints, she's still quite poseable.
7. She was shipped super fast and it only cost $4 (I opted for them to remove the doll from the box)
8. Free gift!! flyingannalee sent along a free outfit, which was super sweet :)

Things I don't like:
1. Her makeup is wonky... look at the picture above. The bottom eyeliner/lashes on the left eye (to your right when looking at her) is way too low... and her eyeballs are wonky. I'll be repainting her for sure. It's not a problem for me, but for someone who doesn't paint, it would suck.
2. I thought I was getting the jointed body, the pics in the auction were misleading.
Wouldn't you think she was jointed at the elbows and knees?
No, when buying, you must ignore all promo pics and only look carefully at the
actual pic of the doll. You can see, in just that one pic, that she is in fact, not jointed at the elbows and knees. Bleh.

Final Analysis:
I would totally buy another one of these girls... their overall aesthetic is just too cute, and the pros outweigh the cons for me.!

I bought mine on ebay from flyingannalee, who is supposedly the
certified dealer of Kurhn dolls.
Check out her wares here:

New and Thank You!

 Christie: Good Morning!

Christie: First let me just say,
Welcome to all of our new followers
and THANK YOU
for your feedback on the necklace question.

I assure you it wasn't a case of being lazy,
we have done a lot of research on pricing :)
I was mostly just curious what *YOU*
would pay for something like that XD

Nikki: Whatever, they all just thought you were lazy... and rightly so.
I mean, come on, you don't even have a real job.
Christie: I have a real job! I just haven't revealed it yet.
Nikki: HAH! Right, because it's such a big surprise?
Christie: Maaaaybe :(
Nikki: Like I said, lazy and unemployed.
Christie: You're so mean sometimes ;_;
ANYHOW... Mean Girl Nikki aside,
there are a few new faces.

1. Katniss Everdeen: You may have seen her around if you follow my Instagram...
where you'll see exploits such as this:

Katniss is one to watch out for... even Emmett looks shocked... or impressed...
I'm not sure  0_0

2. Diana Prince: She's... uhm... not a hooker. I swear...
despite what this Fashionista outfit looks like.

3. Frankie: She's shorter than everyone else, which you'd think might give her
a complex, but she's all about being the spunky, tiny ball of energy bouncing
around... she also loves crafting, just like me :)

4. Not really a new character, just another version of me :) You'll find this pic under the
Steffie tab under the "Christie" section!
