Today's outfit is Summer inspired,

I'm ready for the Grand Traverse Cherry Festival!!

(unfortunately, I still have a while to wait)

The Cherry Skirt was made by Heather,
sometimes she makes some really cute stuff!

The shirt actually comes from that beautiful, talented jerk, er, lovely girl...
Gabriella from High School Musical.

It's not fair, she gets the hot guys and the good clothes. :(

It's just my pigtails pulled up into a ponytail!
I got the nifty rubber band (it comes in a pack with many sizes and colors)
from Target!

I couldn't find the color pack I bought online,

but I did find the pastel version!

The largest size is a bit large, but the medium and smaller size are just perfect!!

The Storm Arrives... no, not another post about rain, I swear

Christie: It was a dark day out...

the darkest of all days.

The neighborhood took on a creepy atmosphere,

like something out of Grimm's Fairytales.

Christie: Today, the BIG BAD WOLF arrived!!! EEEEEE!

Nikki: Oh please, you're such a dork.

Nikki: Hi all! I'm Nikki. I blog about fashion and life and style,

just like my sister, Christie, but I do it better.

I'll be a guest on her blog from time to time.

Christie: LIKE HELL!

Nikki: HAH, like you can stop me.

Christie: You're right, *sniffle*

Nikki: I mean, I'm older than Christie, I have more life experience...

and I know actual guys, a feat Christie has yet to accomplish (aka, even talking to one).

Instead she just spends all her time with that damned cat, Macaron.

Seriously, who names their cat after something they want to eat?

That just seems sick to me.

Like saying, "I acknowledge you are edible, cat."

Weird, but then, that's Christie for ya.

 

Nikki: I know Christie's already been prepping you for what an awful person I am.

Well...

GOOD.

I make no apologies for who I am.
I make no apologies for tormenting my sister.
(OH please, like you don't torment YOUR sister... if you have one)

I make no apologies in general, usually.

It's not my job to make you feel like a super special sunshine rainbow.

Since the photos above, Nikki has been upgraded to a more poseable body,

so she can give you her 'tude in a more expressive manner.

Nikki: That's right, I'm articulated... although my butt is HUGE now.

Rainy Day Outing

I don't know about where you guys are...

but around here it's been raining like crazy!

Lot's of thunder and lightening too!!

So, anyways, I've never been out in the rain before, so as you can imagine,

I'm really excited to try out my brand new rain gear!

Isn't this shirt too cute?

And the skirt has an elastic band,

instead of a button of velcro,

which has some of the other dolls around here very excited.

I hope I'm not forgetting anything before heading out *rushes around*...

it seems to have taken a little break from raining!

OMG, it's cold, and wet, and miserable...

why doesn't this crappy coat button up?!

*after being rescued from the rain*

Ohmigod... can you see this? I'm soaked!!

The only things that are dry

are my butt and my feet!

AND I'M FREEZING!!!

Can we go inside now?

On a positive note, this whole outfit stood up very well to being absolutely soaked through.
