Friday Favorites #31

Well, we're still trapped in a wintery wonderland...

First there was ice, then there was snow (the place I worked closed for the first time since I've been working here (7 years)) and now there is going to be ice again, with freezing rain in today's forecast.

Seriously, Michigan, wtf?!

Anyhow, on with this Friday's favorites!

So yesterday and today I'm suffering from a migraine... and all I can think about is getting home to my soft, squishy pillow...

1. Treasures from Texas has this really cute set of Windmill Pillows...

2. Blinkydoll's Boutique has REALLY awesome realistic pillows

(I own a set, I'll be doing a review soon... but they're great, and have removable covers, and smell wonderfully!)

3. Paper Doll Productions has some really cute pillows, and great prints for pillow fabric too!

Friday Favorites #30

Welcome to WINTER!

To follow up the ice storm, we're now being graced with below freezing temperatures!

Uhm, no thanks?

For me, this is a hint to stay inside and watch tv... so today's Friday Favorites are inspired by some of my favorite TV shows!!

1. I have to admit, I'm all about the Monromance on Grimm... but as the show has continued, I like it more and more! Bring a little Grimm home with littleTHINGSinterest's Grimm's Fairytales book!

2. The Walking Dead has been a favorite of mine since it began... so creepy, so good... and poor Rick... his life is total poop. This creepy Skeleton reminded me of the half-zombie in episode 1 of season 1.  Arcanum Miniatures Skeleton is pretty cool.

3. Breaking Bad was an amazing show, and I'm sad (and secretly relieved... seriously... that was some heavy stuff!) it's over. kivaford's Chemistry Set let's you play the role of Walter White on your scale!

4. ArtnVintagebyDesign has this lovely little teapot that reminds me of a certain episode of the BBC's Sherlock series:

5. This Vintage Style brooch from angel boutique is like something out of Mad Men

Images from the Icepocalyse

I just wanted to share some pictures I took of the Icepocalypse:

This ice storm happened about 13 days ago... and we still have friends staying with us at our house because they don't have power. I feel so sorry for them... I'm sure they just want to be in their own home!

Happy New Year!!

New Year Resolutions

Hello, my name is Mona.

The ice storm raged on here throughout the week...

it was cold, and terrible, and dangerous...

and beautiful,

but much to Christie's chagrin,

it messed up her blogging plans.

The poor girl had Holiday wishes for you all,

but we were too busy trying to keep our buns warm...

So, barring any further Icepocalypse,

this Friday the Friday Favorites will resume,

but this week we're going to have a list of New Year Resolutions instead.

Here are Christie's New Year Resolutions for 2014.

Resolutions:

1. Make sure that all posts are planned out and pre-posted weeks in advance... that way if there are future Icepocalypse events, we're prepared!

2. Respond to emails faster!

3. Complete at least one craft project a month that is 1/6 scale.

4. Have at least one giveaway every quarter (Every 3 months)

5. Start a notebook of "ideas" so I don't lose track of things I think of randomly.

What are your New Year Resolutions?
